BELONG really saved me
Houston kitchen is changing lives through jobs and purpose
“For me, it means everything because when I graduated high school, I had nowhere else to go. BELONG really saved me.”
That’s how Viviana Diaz describes her experience at BELONG Kitchen—a Houston nonprofit that’s doing far more than serving meals.
The grab-and-go kitchen in the Memorial City area provides paid employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping employees build confidence, independence and a sense of purpose.
Now, a new collaboration is bringing even more attention to that mission.
